When Abram was very old, the Lord appeared to him and said in Genesis 17: 1, “I am Almighty God”. God’s covenant was affirmed after thirteen long years. The word ‘Almighty’ comes from the Hebrew word “El Shaddai” which means God’s might is so great compared to man’s ability.
I know a sister who could not have children. The doctor’s report put her in great anguish. She went to the Lord in great distressWith God, All things are possible and wept bitterly.God spoke to her not to give up. The Spirit of the Lord reminded her of the verse found in Mark 10: 27, “with men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.” She decided to take the word of God, stand on it and started confessing them every day believing for a miracle. God heard the prayers and saw the faith. She is blessed with two miracle children. Praise God. Nothing is impossible with God.
Gabriel said to Mary, “For with God, nothing will be impossible.”For Mary who was not married yet, this news seemed so impossible. The word ‘with,’ is seen when two people are involved. ‘With God’ means, first one is ‘God’ and the second one is ‘a person.’
Job, was blameless, upright and one that feared God and shunned evil. He says in Job 42: 2, “I know that, You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.” He understood clearly that God can do everything and in all that he was going through. God’s purposes will be established. You may be in a situation where you are wondering, “why is this happening to me!” It may be your family or health or your finances. Remember, if God allowed it, there is a purpose and He is the Almighty God for whom nothing is impossible.
How impossible things could be made possible?
First of all, with God all things are possible. Jesus is the only one who can do the impossible. He is the one who does mighty things. He does all thing beautiful. Second of all, Jesus says in Mark 9: 23, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Jesus said in Mark 11: 23, 24, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says,’ Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” Notice the word, “shall not doubt in his heart”. A mountain represents a challenge, a problem or a difficulty that we may be facing. It is very easy to talk about the problem. When you keep talking about the problem, the problem keeps growing. Whatever may be your mountain, God wants you to say to the mountain. Yes, right now, say it out loud! Hey mountain! Get out of my life.
By simply reading the word of God will only build your capacity for faith. When you exercise the Word by speaking with your mouth, your faith begins to grow and begins to work for you. For example, you see symptoms of sickness. You tend to say, “Yes, by Your stripes, I am healed but … I am sick”. When you say that it means that you have merely agreed upon the word of God. You have not acted on it. But if you choose to say, “By your stripes I am healed and I am not sick. I resist every sickness in Jesus’ mighty name, and I receive my healing,” you receive your healing.
David walked through many troubles. Yet he says, “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.” Ps 138: 7, 8 says, “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me …. The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.” Unless we have in our mouth what is in our heart, your situations will not change. In other words the faith-filled words must not only be in your heart, it should also be in your mouth. Never speak words of doubt and unbelief!
Do not wait till you see your answers, to confess it. A godly life is a life of faith confession. You believe that you have a thing before you see it with your eyes. Hebrews 4:14 says, “Hold fast to your confession”. Holding fast literally means to say, I know God is able to perform and you continue doing that.
Believers who major in talking sickness and weakness all the time, have plenty of it. Believers that talk lack end up living in insufficiency. You may be weak in your bodies or have debts right now. Depend on God’s ability and say, “Nothing is impossible with God and I am more than a conqueror”. Soon you will see your words come to pass. God has placed His supernatural ability in you to conquer any situation. What is your situation today? Nothing is impossible with God.
Read the words of Jesus out loud: Mark 9: 23, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Luke 18: 28, “the things that are impossible with men are possible with God.” Now, personalize it. Say, “I believe and so all things are possible to me. What is impossible with men is possible with God. I believe it and receive it. For with God all things are possible. I am a conqueror and an overcomer.”
In conclusion, remember the word of God to the great prophet found in Jeremiah 32: 27, “I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” In Zac 4: 6 He says, “…not by might nor by power by My Spirit.” Yes, your situation may be hard for you but it is not too hard for Jesus. It is by the mighty Holy Spirit, all things are made possible for you.
Remember, nothing is impossible with God ! Amen.
