You Are Special

[otw_is sidebar=otw-sidebar-8]

Isaiah 62: 3 says, “You shall also be a crown of glory, In the hand of the Lord, And a royal diadem in the hand of your God.” A diadem is a crown that has valuable gems embedded. Miss America is seen wearing a diadem which is made of a rhinestone encrusted circlet around her head. That is ayou-are-special diadem. God’s word says ‘you’ are not just a diadem but a ‘royal diadem’ in the hand of your God. The Bible talks about the crown of glory, crown of righteousness, crown of life and other crowns. Those crowns are rewards for faithful service. Ps 8: 5b says, “… You have crowned him with glory and honor. These are very special. Jesus said in Matthew 6: 26, “Are you not of more value than they?” A bird does not think about sowing, reaping or saving for future. Our heavenly Father feeds them all. We are better than the birds is what Jesus said!

Why are we Special?

1. Because we are His children and co-heirs:

John 1: 12 says “But as many as received Him, to them He gave them right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” We need to make sure, we become the children of God by receiving Jesus into our lives. Romans 8: 15 b says, “…you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, Abba, Father.” We are more special than the angels in heaven. Angels excel in strength and beauty. They strengthened Jesus in the wilderness. But they cannot call God, ‘Father’ but we can. God did not forgive the angels who sinned but the blood of Jesus has cleansed us from all unrighteousness. JESUS did not die for any angel but He died for you and me. Hebrews 2: 16, “For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham.” Hallelujah! Not only that, we become the rightful beneficiaries to inherit all that Christ died for – redemption, healing, deliverance, prosperity and the list goes on. Romans 8: 17 says, “and if children, then heirs – heirs of God and joint heirs with Chirst.” What a joy!
2. Because we the body of Christ and the Bride of Christ:

The Old Testament saints like Moses, Abraham, Elijah, Elisha did many great exploits to glorify God. Those miracles were outstanding ones. They were called called either a ‘friend of God’ or a ‘servant of God.’ As the New Testament believer, God gives you two special names: one, you are called the body of Christ. The Bible tells us that Jesus is the head and we are His body. Two, we are called the ‘Bride of Christ.’ Ephesians 5: 26 and 27 says, “that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.” What a great priviledge!
3. Because we have two special intercessors:

God has provided us with two ‘special prayer warriors’. We have JESUS Himself as our intercessor. There can be no better intercessor that Jesus. Hebrews 7: 25 says, “…He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” Not only that, we have the Holy Spirit living right on the inside of us interceding. Romans 8: 26, “…Holy Spirit is interceding for us with tears and groaning which cannot be uttered.” The Holy Spirit constantly interceds with great burden. Hellalujah!
Dearly beloved, don’t you ever think that you are just an ordinary person. Just because you face a challenge, doesn’t mean that God is not mindful of you. Just because you do not have much, doesn’t mean that you are not of any value. God loved you enough to send His only begotten Son to die for you. Remember, Jesus loves you. Let not the devil stop you from inheriting God’s promises. Resist the devil and He will flee from you. Do not allow the enemy to encroach your life! Rather, get busy laying up for yourself treasures in heaven and in preparing yourself to meet your heavenly bridegroom. Jesus is coming back for a bride that is without spot or blemish.

Remember, you are very special to God! May the Lord bless you! Amen.
