We are living in the last of the last days. The heavenly bridegroom will show up for His bride just anytime. John the revelator wrote in the book of revelations that the books will be opened. Let us see the different kinds of things that are recorded in that book when it is opened. I am sure; we are doing our best to get good reports there.

Book of Life

The names of the ones that received Jesus into their hearts will be written in the ‘book of Life’. We see that letter “L” is in capitals. That means, the eternal life. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life” in John 14:6. Whoever has the Son of God has eternal life. Jesus said that He is the bread of life. Therefore, the book of Life is a book that keeps record of everyone who makes Jesus the Lord and Savior of their life.

Revelations 20:12 says, “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.”

Revelations 20:15 says, “And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”

Moses the great leader had such a compassion on the people he was leading. In Exodus 32:32 and 33 we read, “Yet now, if You will forgive their sin-but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written. And the Lord said to Moses, Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.”

Our toils are recorded

Psalms 87:5 and 6 says, ‘And of Zion it will be said, This one and that one were born in her; And the Most High Himself shall establish her,” The Lord will record, When He registers the peoples: “This one was born there.”

Psalms 139:16 says, ‘Your eyes saw my substance being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me. When as yet there were none of them.’

Hebrews 12:23 says, ‘To the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven…”

All the deeds are recorded in the book of deeds. When we were formed in our mother’s womb, God not only saw our being but He wrote them in His book. He also writes all our work in His book The Bible calls it “register”. All our sacrifices and all our toils for the Lord are in His record. Isn’t that awesome!

Our talks are recorded

Malachi 3:16 Say, “Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened and heard them: So a book of remembrance was written before Him, For those who fear the Lord And who meditate on His name.”

You may have shared the word of God in a home meeting or in a college campus. Every word that you spoke with God’s children is recorded. God loves to listen to His children talk. He wants to write them down. He wants to remember all our confessions.

Here is the alarm! Not only the good talks but also, the bad talks are also written in His books. So we need to make every effort to talk appropriately. When God’s children talk, the Lord listens and hears them. These are people who fear the Lord that means the ones who keep His commandment and those who meditate God’s name.

Our tears are recorded

The tears that you shed in the presence of the Lord are written in His books. David was a man of many agonies and pains. There were people after him to kill him. His son became a rival for him. His enemies grew in numbers. But David held on to God all the time and acknowledged that the Lord has put all his tears in His bottle and has written down the reason for every teardrop in His book. Praise God for His book.

Psalm 56:8 says, ‘You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book?

As children of the Most High God, nothing goes unnoticed by our God. May be the people around you many not even know what kind of sacrifices you have made. There many not be anyone who is there to commend your efforts. Don’t worry. You have a God who registers all your words, all your deeds and all your prayers in His book.

His reward is coming! Coming soon. So don’t give up. Your labor is not vain in the Lord. Keep of laying treasures in heaven where there will be eternal reward.

May the Lord help us lay up treasures in Heaven in Jesus name. Amen.
